The landscape architectural design took its cues from the strong architectural grid of the home. Site design included earthworks and grading. An existing pond was renovated as a central feature of the back yard view. Elements of the hardscape includes; brick retaining walls, exposed aggregate concrete paving thru-out, crushed aggregate borders and architectural lighting. The back yard terraces are strongly delineated by multi-levels with the aggregate borders. Gardens are purposefully fluid, mass plantings abound and a variety of leaf textures are compatible. Ceramic pottery provides a spot of seasonal colors as well as sculptural accent.
